Theatre production: Rehearsal Dates [05th April Edit]
These are the rehearsal dates for the upcoming Theatre production given by Mr Nick Ng for the sound crew for the moment. The video and photo crew are advised to come down for rehearsals closer to the date of the production as the details would be more or less finalised by then.
Setup Dry Run:
08th April [Tuesday]: 3PM - 8PM
*11th April [Friday]: 3PM - 6PM
Rehearsals:

tips for composing your photos
hey! :D yea the blog's rather dead, so i shall post some stuff though most of you should know it already, there are still the sec ones.
Tips for composing your photos:
1. Have a center of interest
2. Put the main subject off center
- Rule of Thirds: place subject along imaginary line dividing viewfinder into thirds
note: subject should face or move towards center of pic, not away
3. Get in close
-fill view finder with what you want in your 'finished' pic
-get rid of everything not necessary to your pic
-concentrate attention to your subject
4. Watch background
-cluttered background will draw attention away from main subject
-can try to change camera angle/subject's position
-can try to get low, shoot subj. against sky (or)
-shoot from high angle of ground is attractive and simple
-avoid backgrounds where trees/poles 'grow' from ppl's head
-choose to throw disturbing background out of focus (play w aperture/depth of field)
5. Check all angles
- study subj. from diff angle
-shooting from low angle: make subj. look imposing
-shooting from high angle: diminish subj.
-lighting changes with angle (can check lighting too e.g back, front or side lighting)
-bad weather --> overcast, grey sky (can try to shoot from high angle)
these are just tips you can choose to follow its not a MUST. yup.

Changes
There is a change to the dutylist for the HMP Concert but it's only one. Shu Mei will be doing video in the control room now instead of photo.
BTW: We are settling Cross Country duty during CCA this friday! Sec 2s and 3s, u can pray that your seniors don't take up all the duty slots. Sec 1s, in case u all don't know, you all gotta run (or walk :P) since this is your first year here in NY. Heh heh, Sec 4s will be given priority for this particular duty. It has always been our tradition : )
